1. How much will this cost?
While the market rate for a Master's level therapist is upwards of $165-185 per hour in this area, because I am committed to working with people of all backgrounds, stations in life and varying financial means, I charge an hourly rate of $150 per hour, and am willing to work on a sliding scale basis (based on ability to pay) for those who are truly unable to afford this rate.
2. Do you take insurance?
I am currently in network with a number of insurance panels (Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, Oxford, Oscar, Anthem), and am able to provide you with the paperwork necessary to seek out of network reimbursement from your carrier if needed.
3. What are your hours?
I have daytime, evening and weekend hours available and am willing to accommodate most scheduling requests between the hours of 9am-9pm Monday through Friday, as well as some limited hours on Saturdays.
4. How long will this process take?
While it depends on the issues at hand (for some it may take weeks, for others years), I like to encourage those I work with to think in 6-8 week blocks. I will generally ask you commit to 6-8 weeks at a time, and at the end of every 6-8 weeks we will evaluate our progress to determine if we are on track to meet the goals we have set together.
5. Does this really work?
Most definitely! While unfortunately this life holds very few guarantees for us, in my experience clients who are motivated and willing to make use of all the resources available to them are able to significantly improve their functioning and quality of life.
